Prevention Works
Objectives
PreWorks is dedicated to the prevention of sexually transgressive behaviour (STB) in the field of youth work. We will develop a group prevention intervention to address STB with a focus on gender diversity and equality, and sexual wellbeing. We aim to empower youth workers and non-formal youth educators to face the youth’s needs of a better understanding regarding sexual well-being in relationships between all genders and the detrimental effects of STBs.
Group prevention
The outcomes of the group prevention work package will consist of a meticulously conducted and actively pursued research effort that will serve as the foundational input for the intervention. The results will be a multilingual group prevention intervention with 4 x 90 minute sessions and a range of additional materials and resources.

Co-design of Methods
Educational materials, such as presentations, handouts, and educational pictures and videos; communication and motivational tools, guides for self-reflective sessions, as well as a resource library in an online repository. Fitted to the input.

Pilot of cirriculum
Quantitative and qualitative feedback on whether the intervention contents meet the national and international targets of the partners

Revision of the modules
Improved and translated educational materials

Research
Led by the University of Bochum and DIAK, all partners will actively contribute to and conduct literature and best practices research, forming the foundation for the curriculum guide.
Train the Trainers
The primary objective of the Train the Trainers work package is to train the “trainers”, i.e., youth work professionals from each European partner, who will learn how to best implement the intervention developed in work package Group prevention Intervention. In line with this objective, we aim to create the optimal conditions for the implementation of the intervention in our consortium’s organisations
Tackle The Taboo
The primary objective here is to empower youths through creative sessions to produce campaign materials like slogans, posters, and illustrations. The secondary goal is to engage diverse target groups in dialogues about the taboos surrounding gender-focused STB prevention. The youth-led created campaign materials seek to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage open discussions on STB, promoting the future implementation of PreWorks.
