The PreWorks consortium met in the Netherlands!

On the 14th and 15th of April, the PreWorks consortium met in Rotterdam for the 3^rd transnational project meeting focused on testing the modules, good practice exchange and collaborative work on the project results. Find out more below.

14^th of April – Testing the modules in Rotterdam

The meeting began with welcoming our new partner Me&Society, who replace Dona Daria in the partnership; also we welcomed the representatives of the PreWorks Youth Council, it was the first time they joined a transnational project meeting. During the  day the partners tested and provided feedback on the 4 modules that were developed in the past months together with the youth council. The city also provided the attendees with a taste of some Rotterdam good practices that touch on some of the topics that the PreWorks project also works on.

On the first day Queer Gym Rotterdam, the first Dutch gym aimed at non-normative bodies, presented the documentary ‘Boxing against the Binary’. This documentary highlights the importance of a safe space where everyone is welcome. Whether you identify as queer or straight. As long as you don’t judge or discriminate.

15^th of April – Collaborative work on the PreWorks project

The consortium continued its work at ‘the Timmerhuis’. The second good practice insight of the meeting we had was MenasWell. MenasWell is a Dutch organization that supports male victims of sexual transgressive behaviour (STB). They have been active in Rotterdam since 2024 and provide support programmes, training and resources for men that have experienced  STB. Thomas Garrod-Pullar, director of MenasWell, shared data and insight on the numbers and the different forms of abuse men experience. During the day we also discussed the results of the meeting with the youth of Wel Jong and their participation in the brainstorming session on the campaign. After our photo moment we had a final lunch before we said goodbye.
